Madagascar 3

Yesterday Grandma and Grandpa took the boys and I to see Madagascar 3. It was probably the best one yet! Everyone enjoyed it and we all had fun. Nothing was inappropriate and even Josh got all the jokes!

Are You Smarter Than A Camera? (We Aren't)

Yesterday, I tried to download the pictures that have been collecting on my camera since I got it last Christmas to the computer. Sounds simple enough, right?

WRONG!!!

Apparently, the combined brains of me and my mother are not smarter than a Kodak easyshare sport.
We are nowhere near as smart as said camera.
Five hours after we initially attempted to download the pictures, we thought we had found a solution.

We were wrong. The "solution" effectively murdered my moms laptop. Nothing we tried got it working.

Luckily for us, my dad is smart and managed to fix the computer and the pictures were finally downloaded.

Yay, happy ending!

Chalk Festival

Our family recently made our yearly trip to the chalk art festival and these are the pictures of what we saw!

We did do chalk art of our own, but I don't have any pictures.

Birthday!!!

My 13th birthday was a week or two ago! When I woke up a plate of thirteen cant-leave-alone bars was at my place at the table. They are soooooooo gooooood!
After breakfast Mom took me to boondocks to use the coupon they give you to use on your birthday.

Then we came home and hung out until my dad got home and I got to open presents! I got lots of cute clothes!

Me wearing my new birthday shirt + necklace
Then all my friends came over and we went to Kaysville City's  summer play, 42nd Street! It was really well done and fun to go to with my friends.

Us at the play! Me, Noelle, Morgan, and Tailor

After the play we went to Artic Circle for Ice cream and more presnts. My favorite to open was Noelle's, because she wrapped a cute little Moleskine notebook in...

25 LAYERS OF WRAPPING PAPER!

Me with the cake + another birthday shirt.

Then on Monday, Grandma and Grandpa came over for cake and ice cream!

It was an awesome birthday!

Books!

Lately I've been reading a lot of new  books and recently read two really good ones that I got from Barnes and Noble with birthday money!

First, The Selection, by Kiera Cass. It was really good! I loved it! It's about a future country where the prince's bride is chosen by a process called the Selection. 35 girls are taken to the palace and attempt to win the Prince's heart. It was really good and I can't wait for the sequel!

(plus, the cover is pretty!)

second is the ninth and final book in the Sisters Grimm series, which I've been reading since I was in third grade. It was really good and most of the loose ends were wrapped up but the epilogue really made me want another book.
